BSD is expanding its distribution contracts for Sport Import to include Germany and Austria. The two brands previously joined forces from May 2022. The distributor now represents the British brand in 13 European countries.
Edewecht: Sport Import remains true to its role as a strong BMX distributor. Since January, the wholesaler distributes the long-established brand BSD from Great Britain for two more countries. BSD produces high quality BMX parts since 1998. The British have already been working with Sport Import since mid-2022. Now the markets of Germany and Austria are added to the 11 countries previously in distribution.
Bodo Hellwig, Category Manager BMX at Sport Import, comments on the expansion of the cooperation: “The past few months have shown that the partnership between BSD and Sport Import works really well. We are proud to offer the brand now also to our German and Austrian customers. This step reflects the mutual trust we have had from the beginning.”
Sport Import has deep roots in the BMX scene. In 1982, today’s Sport Import GmbH emerged from a BMX store in Berlin. Therefore, not only strong scene brands but also the promotion of BMX have always played a key role at the European-oriented wholesaler. This is reflected not least in the large BMX team with well-known riders.
